Terms of service
These terms cover this website and every job or subscription you buy from Sheetsmith, a sole proprietorship based in Gulfport, Mississippi, USA. By paying for a job or subscription you agree to them. Questions: chrisgrant2019+sheetsmith@gmail.com.
1. What you are buying
Done-for-you spreadsheet work (cleaning, conversion, formulas, reports and dashboards, automation) as described in your quote or in the package you picked. Anything outside what was agreed is a separate job, and we quote it before starting. Prices are in US dollars.
2. Ordering and payment
For a quoted job, you approve the quote and then pay. For a listed package, you pay the listed price and describe the job in the order form. Payment is taken in advance by card through Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
3. Delivery
The turnaround clock starts when we have both your payment and your file: standard within 24 hours (automations 48 hours), rush within 3 hours (automations 12 hours). If we need an answer from you (a missing file, an unclear instruction), the clock pauses until you reply. The finished file is emailed to the address you paid with or used for the quote.
4. Revisions and refunds
Revisions are free until the deliverable matches what we agreed. If the job can't be delivered as agreed, you get a full refund. The details are on the Refunds and revisions page.
5. Your files
You keep ownership of your files and of the finished work. You give us permission to open, process and transform your files (including with AI tools) only to do your job. You confirm you have the right to share the data with us. Please do not send passwords, full card numbers, Social Security numbers or other highly sensitive data; remove or mask them first, because the structure of the data is all we need. 6. AI-assisted work and accuracy
Sheetsmith is an AI-powered service. Every deliverable is checked against your request (totals reconciled, formulas tested) before delivery, but you should review the result before relying on it for tax, legal, medical or other high-stakes decisions. Sheetsmith is not an accounting, tax or legal advisor.
7. Spreadsheet Desk subscription
The Spreadsheet Desk is $149 per month, billed monthly through Stripe. It includes up to 5 spreadsheet requests per billing month (fixes, formulas, cleanups and small automations), each delivered within 24 hours. Unused requests do not carry over. Larger projects are quoted separately. You can cancel any time from the billing portal or by email; cancelling stops future charges and you keep the Desk for the month you have already paid for.
8. Work we may decline
We may decline, or stop and fully refund, a job that is illegal, deceptive, infringes someone else's rights, or that we cannot do safely.
9. Liability
Our total liability for any claim connected to a job is limited to the amount you paid for that job (for the Desk, the most recent monthly fee). We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.
10. Problems and governing law
Please email us first; we will fix it or refund it. Disputes are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, USA.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you pay applies to that job.
